Hobbies: Nostalgia

I was a child of the 80's.  I grew up on Transformers, Ghostbusters, GI Joe, big hair, and neon colors.  Granted, I can live without the big hair and neon, but a lot of stuff from my childhood is still really cool today.  Can you believe that this stuff has become trendy with kids who never saw it in the first place?

Standing the test of time

I have two big things I grew up with that I hope I never grow out of completely: Transformers and Legos.

Legos were cool, you could do anything with them, and I logged so many hours playing with them while growing up, I could probably qualify for a college degree in Legology. (A true Lego lover has the scars to prove it, from stepping on the damn things in the middle of the night.)

Transformers are my fondest childhood memory, as far as pop culture goes. I can still nearly recite the Transformers movie script from memory. A few things, however: Optimus Prime is the only Prime. Hot Rod was cool, but Rodimus was a dork. Don't even mention 'Primal' to me, and while I'm at it ... REAL Predacons MERGE to form PREDAKING!; Dinobots is a plural term referring to Grimlock, Sludge, Slag, Snarl, and Swoop, the asskickingest Autobot team you ever saw; Megatron is neither a tank nor a dinosaur nor a jet, he's a freaking HAND CANNON; The Matrix only matters if followed by the words "of Leadership" and has nothing to do with Keanu Reeves. Keep your Beast Wars. Spare me Armada. Give me the classics, with Ratchet and Wheeljack.

Autobots, transform and roll out.
